Landscapes focusing on the formation of identity in the juxtaposition of two cities, their characters, natural beauty, and the attributes of cultural power.
Images above serve as a medium of exchange between the individual and the organic world, the self and the other. In capturing people and animals within their landscapes, the characters become as much tree or mountain.
Images below are a site of visual appropriation that resist the ideological constructs of the spectator. In a representation of culturally identified spaces, each image presents the study of figure and space. The landscapes work within the cultural practice of defining idealized locations of both Los Angeles and Miami.
